Website monthly plan: domain, cancelling and ownership

Account and billingUpdated

These answers describe the Forsyth Development website offer: no upfront development cost and a monthly plan. For the full offer see website pricing, and for contract terms see the terms of service.

What the monthly plan includes

We build your website with no upfront development cost. The $50 per month covers hosting and ongoing maintenance. In-depth features and upgrades may cost extra and are quoted before work starts.

Do I need to buy my own domain name?

Yes. You are responsible for finding and purchasing your own domain, so you own it from day one. You then invite us as an admin on your domain account while we work, and you can remove that access whenever you like.

Can I cancel the monthly plan?

Yes. You can cancel with 30 days' notice by emailing us or opening a support ticket. Hosting and maintenance stop at the end of the paid period in which the notice period ends. Cancelling never affects your domain, which stays registered in your name. See the terms of service for details.

Can I own my website instead of renting it?

Yes, you can ask for a transfer at any time. It is a one-time fee that we quote in writing. Industry rates for this range from about $500 to $2,000 for a simple site.

How long does a website take?

Most small business sites take a few weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly you can send logos, photos and text.

Need a hand?
