Small business websites
A professional website for your small business, without the big upfront bill.
We build your website with $0 upfront development cost. You pay $50 a month to keep it hosted, maintained and updated.
Overview
What a business website should include
Based on our own launch checklist for small business sites.
A clear first sentence
Say what you do at the top of the home page, in one sentence.
Your services in plain words
Each service with its own section or page, so visitors find their situation.
Proof of your work
Real photos, example projects, or customer quotes you have permission to use.
An obvious next step
A clear button such as “Get a quote”, and a contact form that has been tested end to end.
Good mobile experience
Every page viewed on a phone, with compressed images that give the page stable dimensions.
Search basics
Unique titles and descriptions, one clear heading per page, image alt text, a sitemap and Search Console.
Fit
Why a small business needs a website
- It is how customers find you in search, learn what you do and contact you.
- It works on every device without a download, and is usually cheaper to build and maintain than an app.
- It lets you show real work and answer the first questions a customer has: who you are, what you do, where you work and how to reach you.
- It gives you a place to point people from ads, business cards and social profiles.
Ownership and hosting
Your domain should be registered in your name. With our offer you find and buy your own domain, and you invite us as an added admin on your domain account, so you keep ownership.
The $50 a month covers hosting and ongoing site maintenance. In-depth features and upgrades may cost extra and are quoted before work starts. If you later want to take over the site files, ask us; this is a one-time fee that we quote in writing.
Contact and lead generation
A website earns its keep when a visitor can reach you quickly. We build contact forms into the site, so visitors can send details without phoning first, as on the Forsyth Decks website. Ask only for what you need, because every extra field lowers the number of people who finish.
Process
How we work
A general outline. Timelines and details depend on each project and are discussed up front.
Plan
We talk through your business, your goals, and what the project needs to do. Then we outline scope, content, and a practical approach before any build work starts.
Build & launch
We design and build in stages, sharing progress so you can give feedback. We test across devices, fix what we find, and help get the work live.
Grow
After launch, we can keep improving and maintaining the product as your needs change.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does the $0 upfront and $50 per month offer include?
We build your website with no upfront development cost. The $50 per month covers hosting and ongoing maintenance. The plan includes up to 5 standard pages and 2 rounds of revisions before launch. Content updates after launch, in-depth features and upgrades are not included and are quoted before work starts.
Do I need to buy my own domain name?
Yes. You are responsible for finding and purchasing your own domain, so you own it from day one. You then invite us as an admin on your domain account while we work, and you can remove that access whenever you like.
Can I own my website instead of renting it from you?
Yes, you can ask for a transfer at any time. The fee is quoted individually in writing and covers the source files, database (if applicable), domain and hosting access, deployment documentation and reasonable help moving to your chosen host. Third-party fees and outstanding subscriptions are not included.
How long does a website take?
Most small business sites take a few weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly you can send logos, photos and text.
Can I cancel the monthly plan?
Yes. You can cancel with 30 days of notice by emailing us or opening a support ticket. Hosting and maintenance stop at the end of the paid period in which the notice period ends. Cancelling never affects your domain, which stays registered in your name. See our terms for details.
Where we work
No. Forsyth Development is a fully online business, so we work with clients anywhere by email, forms and video or phone calls.
